My First Project

And So I was bored one day and I taught myself to knit at work. I've always wanted to learn, but never really put the effort into doing it. I went to lunch, bought a book and hashed it out. It wasn't the prettiest site at first. It can really cost you a ton of money to start, and unless you have a bit of advice, it can be really overwhelming. Once you get a little more reading and advice in, it's clear sailing on at least the basics from there. My advice, search as much as you can on the internet and check out Hello Knitty. Needless to say, this scarf was my first project. It really was neat to see something develop before my eyes, that I actually liked to wear and that other people actually thought they would wear, too. I guess it wasn't that bad of job for the first go round. I have to admit, I didn't weave in the ends, though :o) I wasn't that experienced yet (laughs).
