The Preppy Bag & Dilemma

Here's my latest creation that I started on Friday, July 1st and just shy of completed on Saturday, July 2nd over the holiday weekend. I call it "Preppy". I created this bag from cotton rug yarn, size 9 needles, and too much time on my hands! I finished it around 3 hours time and then it hit me. I need handles for this thing! I had the design living upstairs in my head forever, but I just can't find any purse handles I like for this thing. If anyone has any ideas, I welcome them. I did pick up some buttons and a dowel, which may convert this thing into a clutch instead of a purse if I get frustrated enough...
